Logitech x-530 speakers not working!?

I recently bought a set of the Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers, and they worked perfectly fine until I tried using an extender for the front right speaker. The front right speaker is the one that receives the input from a device, and then connects to the woofer via a VGA cable which transmits audio to the other speakers. But ever since I tried using a VGA extender I bought from eBay which ended up not working, I plugged the speaker back without the extender and they don't work at all! The light on the front right speaker comes on, and when I plug headphones into it, sound does come through the headphones! So why not the speakers! ahhhh I'm really annoyed :(
