Can I hook up a passive sub to the sub channel on my receiver?

I just bought a passive in wall sub woofer (Moderno m10) for my new house. On the back it shows a LF & RF input and a LF & RF output. I hooked it up this way to test and was unable to configure my receiver to send the bass through the front speakers. Can I hook these channels up to my sub woofer channel in series or running to wires from the one sub woofer output, without damaging my receiver? thanks!
